Bombay Stock Exchange Rejects Crypto-Linked Firm’s Listing Application
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has denied the listing application of Jetking Infotrain, an IT training firm with crypto exposure, citing an ongoing review of its VIRTUAL digital assets (VDAs) policy. The exchange stated it cannot process applications of this nature until a final decision is made.
Jetking had initially secured in-principle approval on May 9 after proposing to allocate over 396,000 shares worth approximately $720,000. Nearly 60% of the proceeds—around $480,000—were earmarked for VDA acquisitions, disclosed as part of its treasury investments under Indian corporate regulations.
The rejection highlights regulatory ambiguity despite companies being permitted to invest surplus funds in crypto assets. Authorities remain cautious as they weigh broader market implications.
